ArtExpo 2001 è una grande occasione di valorizzazione di uno dei luoghi più belli della Puglia: un'importante evento che porterà nel centro storico di Polignano a Mare (BA) artisti provenienti da ogni parte del mondo.

La manifestazione, organizzata in collaborazione con ComunicArte, il portale italiano dell'arte, coinvolgerà l'intera cittadina di Polignano a Mare nel periodo compreso tra il 3 e il 19 Agosto 2001, e sarà incentrata sui luoghi storici della cultura polignanese, la galleria Pino Pascali e la Chiesa di S. Giuseppe, entrambi situati nella zona storica di questa incantevole località a picco sul mare Adriatico.

L'evento sarà promosso attraverso la realizzazione di inviti (5000), locandine (2500) e un catalogo generale comprendente foto e notizie relative a tutti gli artisti partecipanti.

Informazioni sulla galleria "Pino Pascali":
La galleria "Pino Pascali" è ubicata nella ex-chiesetta di S. Stefano, situata nel centro storico Polignano a Mare, sull'omonimo bastione che guarda al mare Adriatico. La piccola chiesa di S. Stefano è probabilmente la più antica di Polignano, costruita nel XII secolo e consacrata al santo più amato dai normanni, ristrutturata molto probabilmente nel XV o XVI secolo, è rimasta intatta sino ai giorni nostri. Si trova nella parte opposta del centro storico rispetto alla porta monumentale di ingresso, sulla quale si erge la Chiesa di S. Giuseppe.

ArtExpo 2001 è interamente autofinanziata mediante il contributo economico degli artisti invitati a partecipare e selezionati sia tra gli artisti di fama nazionale ed internazionale, sia tra quelli meno conosciuti nel panorama artistico nazionale. I lavori ammessi possono essere rappresentativi di qualsivoglia genere e movimento artistico e realizzati con qualunque tecnica, ivi comprese la fotografia e, a particolari condizioni, l'arte digitale e la video arte.
Ad ogni pittore sarà assegnato uno spazio espositivo di circa 3 metri in lunghezza per 2 metri in altezza. Ogni artista dovrà esporvi un minimo di tre lavori. Ogni lavoro deve essere realizzato in un unico pezzo e spedito provvisto di una cornice sottile e leggera sprovvista di vetro. Ogni artista che si occupa di fotografia può esporre un massimo di 12 opere provviste di listello o preventivamente montate su pannelli dall'artista stesso. Ad ogni scultore sarà assegnato uno spazio espositivo di 6 mq in cui allestire un percorso di almeno tre opere, provviste di basi, ciascuna delle quali non deve superare i 60 kg di peso e i 2.5 metri di altezza, base compresa. Sono ammesse anche sculture murali.

Ogni artista può decidere di esporre un numero qualsiasi di opere, minimo tre.

The Art-Show will be realized with Gadgets about artworks, invites (maybe 5000) and brochure (2500), and a Big Catalogue (2000) with all the Artists.

Informations about ArtSpace "Pino Pascali Art Gallery": The Gallery " PinoPascali " has former center in chiesetta of S. Stefano located in the ancient center of Polignano to Sea, on omonimo bastion that watches the Adriatic Sea.
The small ex-church of S. Stefano it is perhaps the most ancient than Polignano, constructed in XII the century, consecrated to the Saint much beloved to the normanni, restructured a lot probably in the XV - XVI century and remained such from this date. Is located from the opposite part to the large door of income in the ancient center of Polignano to Sea. After vandalism actions, some year it makes has been reopened to exposures, extensions and activities that keep all the year.

ArtExpo 2001 is entirely financed by the artists themselves. Can be admitted to the event, well known artists and in addition, artists not yet known at the national and the international level.
Works representing all artistic trends and currents, may be considered for selection.
In addition to Painting, Sculpture and Works on Paper, artists may now submit for exhibition works in photography and, only upon particular terms and conditions, also works in Video and Digital Art.

Each painter will be assigned a wall exhibition space 3 meters in width and 2.5 meters high. A minimum of three works may be exhibited on this wall space. Each pictorial work must be made up of a single piece which must be sent unglassed but with a thin, lightweight frame. Each artist that operate in the field of photography, may exhibit a maximum of 12 works, with a thin frame or a panel, previously made up by the artist. Each artist participating with sculptural works, will be assigned an exhibition space of 6 square meters for exhibition a minimum of three works. Each work of sculpture must weight no more than 60 kg and not exceed 2.5 meters in height, base included. Sculptural works designed for exhibition on walls, will be accepted. The sculptures must therefore be provided with bases. Every artist can take all the ArtWorks he wants (minimum three). Naturally the artists will take part during the Exposition.
